Your main responsibilities:

  • Strategic category management in direct procurement for chemicals
  • Analyze and monitor markets and cost structures; create internal and external benchmarks
  • Develop and implement strategies for the assigned categories aligned with business needs
  • Prepare and execute negotiations and RFQs and set up supplier agreements
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor supplier performance and compliance
  • Identify and promote saving potentials and best practices; drive cost saving projects
  • Support innovation transfer from supplier markets to product development

Your profile:

  • Experience as Strategic Buyer and / or Technician in the paper / chemical Industry
  • Negotiating skills, independent, international work with good judgement and persuasiveness
  • Solid experience in working with professional business partners
  • Intercultural competence and excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to quickly acquire new learnings
  • Result driven and “never-give-up”- mentality
  • Willingness to challenge comfort zones
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Business fluent English
