Ahlstrom announces price increases for its crepe papers

Ahlstrom Corporation PRESS RELEASE 12.07.2007

Ahlstrom, a global leader in high performance fiber-based materials, today announced price increases on its crepe paper grades, as a consequence of the continuous rise of raw materials, in particular woodpulp, energy, transportation and packaging costs.

The price increases are effective as from July 1, 2007. The level of the increases will depend on the nature of the products, on existing contracts and invoicing currencies. The detailed actions will be discussed with customers through the appropriate business teams.

Ahlstrom's Crepe papers are mainly used for masking tapes, wipes, medical sterilization wraps and other specialty applications such as table covers or food absorption pads. Ahlstrom's Crepe papers are produced in France, Finland and Italy.
