About fifteen years ago, we created a surprise when we developed our coloured waterproof abrasive paper backings, an idea that has been widely adopted since then as evidenced by out large choice of standard coulours or the increasing number of exclusive colours developments.
We broke new ground again in 2012 with The Be Solution, an innovative concept that offered new possibilities for customizing abrasives by adding security fibers, printing on patterns or coating in an infinite number of colours.
In line with its DNA as a pioneer at the forefront of the latest trends on the market, Ahlstrom is continuing to revolutionize the industry and has decided to invite its customers on a colour-packed journey over 2019. Without borders we will be discovering throughout the year original collections, which will reveal impactful abrasive paper backing finishes.
World of Colours collection, is a series of batch colour dyes that give heavyweight papers a great «design» look!
The first stage of our exploration will take our abrasive backing customers to a series of unique places on this planet where a natural colour of remarkable intensity can be admired… These iconic sites have inspired a collection of plain colours that can be applied on any Made in Arches heavyweight papers to stand out from the crowd. They are all available in different shades and can be reproduced accurately and consistently.
And to match exactly to any projects and to the most demanding requirements, our R&D experts can also develop a custom colour, even one unique on the market – the colour of a visual identity, for example.
